Zeta Alpha Chi Official Bylaws

Article 1, Section 1, Part 1: Everything must be approved by a 2/3 vote of the founders. [Zac Logsdon, 6/1/2004]

Article 3, Section 3, Part Totally Sweet Padre: All members of Zeta Alpha Chi that are voted as the annual "Padre"
are worthless drunks. [Zac Logsdon, Zac Stevens, Cory Thigpen, 6/22/2004]

Article 4,000,000,042 Section -17, Part, Part, PARTAY!!!:
A ZAX event doesn't necessarily necessitate the necessitation of females
being involved, necessarily. However, all members being invited is a
necessity. A ZAX event can consist of just the fellas gathering somewhere
for fun and revelry, or it can be a date party involving chicken, women, and
ice hockey, or it can be a two-day event involving both of those
aforementioned activities, or it can be something different entirely.
Basically, unless it's an annual event which has activities dictated by
tradition, the activities under which the planned committee's planning event
has come, the event can be whatever the committee deems acceptable. [Zac Logsdon, 6/1/2004]

I second that motion. However, one stipulation you forgot to mention is that
the date of the event must be approved by a 2/3 vote of the founders. [Zac Stevens, 6/1/2004]

Article 4,000,000,042 Section -17, Part, Part, PARTAY partB!!!: A sombreros and pie party doesn't
necessarily have to have anything to do with sombreros and/or pie.
[Cory Thigpen, 6/1/2004]
(Cory's submission wasn't approved by a 2/3 vote of the founders and is therefore null and void.)

Regarding Dues: All members must pay $10, per physical year, membership dues.
Physical year is defined as the time period between No Se Weekends. Following 1 month
after the current year's No Se Weekend, a $1 per month late fee will be
assessed to any member whom has not paid his dues in full. Any member that
has a membership dues balance of $16 or more will not be able to attend any
official ZAX event. All membership rights, privileges, honors, and public
powers that are associated with ZAX members will be revoked following the
completion of every physical year for any member whom has a membership dues
balance of $1 or more. In order to regain membership, the former member
must enter as a pledge and pay the accrued dues up to the time of his
expulsion.

Any change to the above by-laws that pertain to membership dues can only be
changed by a 2/3 vote of the founders and treasurer. [Mike Channel, 9:53 AM 5/29/2004]

3434 West Reno: All furniture for the ZAX Fraternity House must be purchased at either
Mathis Brothers, or some other furniture store. Or, in the event that
furniture can be purchased at an alternate location, be it a garage sale or
other type of retail outlet, furniture is allowed to be purchased there if
any current ZAX member has authorized the purchase. Also, regarding ZAX
mass e-mails... you're gonna get 'em no matter what. [Zac Logsdon, 5/25/2004]

Article F. 24-32 Sec. 4b: If no winner has been declared within one year, whoever first
claims to be the winner wins. [4/24/2004]

Regarding Chapters: The fact is, there is one chapter of Zeta Alpha Chi and it is based
in Norman. It is not the Norman Chapter... it is THE Chapter of ZAX. [Zac Logsdon, 12/18/2003]

By the way, we might one day have a Payne County chapter but we'll never have a Stillwater
Chapter. [Zac Stevens, 12/17/2003]

Sec. 1342, Article 7: The annual 29th Annual ZAX No Se Weekend will be held
every spring at a set date and will not be cancelled for any reason other
than the death of a Zeta Alpha Chi member that is due to attend that year's
event. However, if that dead member had previously been voted "Worst Member
of the Year," this rule is null and void and No Se Weekend will proceed as
planned. [Zac Logsdon, 5/1/2003]

That's why we have so many by-laws... because most of them are jibberish,
like Sec. 183, Article Q [comment by Zac Logsdon, 5/1/03]

Don't forget Sec. 1342, Article 7, Part B5 (which states): If you miss a Zeta Alpha Chi
event due to sickness you are officially a pansy.
and Section 1683, Article Q, Part Fire (which states): All pansies are total wimps who
get their jollies from going to the zoo to watch the monkeys do it.  [Zac Stevens, 5/1/2003]

Wait a second...is there something wrong with watching monkeys do it? [Question
submitted by Ryan La Croix on 5/1/2003]

No, the by-law just want to differentiate between total wimps that get their
jollies from watching monkeys do it, as opposed to getting their jollies in
other ways. We're saying that all pansies are total wimps who get their
jollies by watching monkeys do it. Meaning, that if you are a total wimp
that gets his jollies in other ways, you are definitely not a pansy...
you're a fag. [Clarification/Response from Zac Logsdon on 5/1/2003]

One of my favorite bylaws is Sec. 93Dg, Article 55, Part Man/Part Fish (which states):
Ryan's ZAX nickname kicks fargin ace! [Zac Stevens, 5/1/03]
